New life: The result of salvation

We are first born again!

We’ve already discussed a couple of the results of salvation in the last posts but it’s important that we know all those results stem first from the ultimate result which is that the moment a man is saved after believing and declaring that Jesus is lord he is born again by the spirit of God!

1 John 5:1

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.

Every other result is from this truth that all who believe in Jesus is born again by the spirit of God. As a result of this we receive the life of Christ. I love how Romans 6:4 puts it.

Romans 6:4

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Romans 6:4

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

He says that we too may live a new life! The NKJV says that we should walk in newness of life.

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

This new life comes with a lot of fruits that serve as an evidence of the spirit of God in us.

Interestingly tomorrow I go into detail in the devotional so make sure you study tomorrow’s devotional. So yes we are children of God.

As children of God we are :

• Forgiven

• Justified Romans 4:25 KJV Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

• He rose for our justification that means we are justified by virtue of his resurrection, our faith is not in vain because of his resurrection,So, our faith is in the resurrected Christ.

• Redeemed

• Empowered to live above sins

• Shows the love of God to others. “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.” (1John 4:7 NASB)

• Has victory over the world.“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” (1 John 5:4 NASB)
