Is There a God? A concise exploration of the Evidence for God's existence.

Have you ever looked at a beautiful painting or sculpture, or any work of art, and thought, "Wow, science must have created this" or "This came together by some form of accident"?

No, right?

Behind every great design, there is a great designer.

Art is birthed from the inspiration and vision of the artist; it doesn't just come together on its own. A lot of people ask the question: Does God exist? Yes, He does, and I'll tell you how I know.

The way the world is put together is too intentional, detailed, and complex for it to have been a mistake.

Let's Talk about Creation

Now, let's talk about "the creation". There are a few theories about how the universe came to be. The most popularly accepted one is the Big Bang theory.

The Big Bang theory says that the universe was dense and hot, then began to rapidly expand, became less dense, and cooled down.

Some sources say that the Big Bang doesn't try to explain the creation of the universe but just how it came to be what it is today, and other sources say that the Big Bang is how the universe came about.

That argument is flawed because nothing can come into existence by itself; something must have caused it to exist! It does not seem logical that a thing just pops into existence.

The human body is a sign!

Now, let's take into account things like the human body, how it's perfectly put together, and each part has a unique function, but all parts work together as a whole. Can that happen by accident? There has to have been some kind of thought behind it, right?

Let's also look at the Earth, how it is positioned just the right distance away from the sun, and how the conditions are just right to allow life to thrive. Do you want to say that also happened by some form of accident?

When we think about it, it truly takes more faith to not believe in God than it does to believe in Him.

The proof that God exists is all around us; it's in the air we breathe, it's in the beauty of nature around us, and it's in how we look and function as human beings.

Romans 1:19-20 says, "They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God."

God has made it obvious that He exists through creation itself. As I've mentioned previously, you cannot look at creation and not see that there is an intelligent designer (creator) behind it.

I've seen people say things like "if God was real, then bad things wouldn't happen" or things along those lines, trying to negate the existence of God because evil exists. The fact that God exists does not negate the fact that evil also exists.

Another reason to believe that God exists is the Bible.

Which begs the question: How do you know the Bible is true and to be believed?

I recently picked up the book "Am I Being Fooled?" by Apostle Emmanuel Iren. There is a chapter titled "Is the Bible True?" which mentions how there are facts in the Bible that correlate with scientific discoveries made in recent times. It also mentions how the Bible is the only known religious document with prophecies that can be historically verified to have been proven.

The Bible also has various authors and was written within a span of 1,500-1,600 years, yet it is cohesive. Archaeological evidence keeps being discovered and continues to confirm the authenticity of the Scriptures.

There is also the fact that there are very few copying errors when ancient copies are compared against one another or with more modern copies. Let's move to the final reason I'll give to show the existence of God.

Human experience:

The human experience is, to me, the strongest evidence that God exists. God has revealed himself to people and continues to do so. We've heard of and seen miracles that cannot be explained by anything other than the supernatural. We've seen people's lives change completely by the power of God, and we cannot explain it. I'll conclude by saying that there is a God, and He reveals Himself to us in many ways. Some people try to deny the existence of God to carry on living the way they want, or because they misunderstand His nature and don't want to understand it.
